Minimum Wage

The government adjusts the amount of the minimum wage twice a year. On the 1st of January and the 1st of July – in line with changes in average collectively agreed wages in the Netherlands. What does this mean?

  • Knowledge migrant after search year – € 2.314,00 per month gross, excl. 8% holiday allowance ( was € 2.272 )
  • High Skilled Knowledge Migrant under 30 years of age – € 3.229,00 per month gross, excl. 8% holiday allowance ( was € 3.170 )
  • High Skilled Knowledge Migrant 30 years of age, or older – € 4.404,00 per month gross, excl. 8% holiday allowance. ( was € 4.324 )
  • European Blue Card Holder – € 5.160,00 per month gross, excl. 8% holiday allowance ( was € 5,066 )

Criteria

The law does not lay down the amount of hours there must be in a workweek. Usually it’s between 36-40 hours depending on what you agreed upon with your employer.

Do you get paid every 4 weeks? You can convert the wages to a monthly amount: (gross salary per 4 weeks x 13) / 12 = monthly salary.
